In January 1949, a great Peace Congress takes place in Paris.  This scarf commemorates the event with its symbol of peace, the dove.

Pablo Picasso ,(1881-1973) is in charge of drawing a poster to symbolize the Peace Movement.

He draws the profile of a dove, like the white pigeons he keeps in a cage in his workshop and those in the trees he remembers from his childhood in Malaga.

In the spring of same year, Picasso's dove is displayed on the walls of European Cities.

At the same time, another dove appears in Picasso's life: his daughter Paloma (spanish for "dove").
